"The Individualist Credo" by Ayn Rand

In the 1940's Ayn Rand was quite concerned about the rise Totalitarianism in the United States. She wrote "To All Innocent Fifth Columnists" which has already been discussed on this message board. She felt it was important to follow that up with an "Individualist Manifesto" that was to be published in a long and a short version. The long version never was published. The short version, "The Individualist Credo," was published in the January 1944 issue of Reader's Digest as "The Only Path to Tomorrow."
