Introduction

Hello, I enjoy discussing the thinking tools provided by Ayn Rand's Objectivism and ways to introduce others to the sense that Objectivism provides humanity. My interest started with the question of how to validate premises. I found that in 1963.

How did you become acquainted with Ayn Rand?

In 1961, my inspiring 1st philosophy teacher couldn't answer my question about validation of premises. I new that without an answer to that question, the rest was a house of cards. In 1963, I luckily tripped across Objectivism. (Ask: define-luck.)

HaveAyn Rand books affected your view of life and the way you live your life? If so, how? If not, why not?

I think I have a well grounded confidence in my basic ideas that would be impossible with Rand's grounding of philosophy - in the manner that Newton did for physics. It is the frame of reference for my consulting, coaching and training of teams.

What would be your expectations for our group to merit an A+ rating in your mind?

Good camaraderie, good food, good ideas. A focus on spreading Objectivism to our community for the sake of our body politic, making our community more sane to live in. Politics depends on culture which in turn depends on education. Let's roll.
