Abstract of the article “Values, reason, rights and freedom.”

Values are not desires, whims or wishes. They are necessities of man existence. Values do not exist independently but presuppose evaluator. The only way for man to evaluate and to gain/keep values is to use his faculty of reason. Human mind cannot function under coercion since coercion abnegates alternatives. Therefore freedom is necessary requisite for action to obtain values. Freedom is a political condition which allows people to act within their unalienable rights Any person under coercive conditions will be rendered valueless (unable to gain and keep values) and rightless. Non-coercive exchange of values is always mutually profitable. In conclusion man can obtain and keep values only by using his faculty of reason while he is acting within his inalienable rights.

I agree wholeheartedly, Leonid.

My interest is psycho-epistemology.
PE studies the essential relations between concepts.

I would be interested in seeing the above paragraph
reduced to an analytical form (i.e., a hierarchically
related semantic and syntactic structure).

Take the statement,
"Reason is the means of human knowledge", for instance.
This statement analytically reduces or transforms into:

>Knowledge (0)
>>>>|
>>>>>----- Reason(Realization) (4)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>----- Nature(Human) (41)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>----- Nature(Role) (44)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>----- Human(Individual) (43)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>----- Role(Means) (442)

Means is a constituent type of Role.
Role is a functional aspect of a performance with which something is accomplished.
Roles are the manifestation of Human Nature in individual action.
With successfully Realized Roles, Individuals master, or command, particular instances of Nature.
This Realization of effective performance, reinforces the power of one's Reason.
Consequently, an individual has new means and methods of Reasoning to add to his/her personal store of Knowledge

A diagram of your paragraph, would assist me with my research into the nature of universals and their relationships.

Hi,
Leonid and I had a very long email conversation in 2006 regarding
re-incarnation.At first he agreed that it is true but later did not agree with it till the end of our conversation. He concluded his discussion by saying that Ayn Rand and Mr.Peikoff were not
interested in such nonsence.smilewink
